Frisco, Tx- On a hot and humid evening with temperatures reaching over 97°F. FC Dallas would face LAFC for the first time at Toyota Stadium. Things would quickly pick up with a good dominance from the FC Dallas side.
On a set piece play after a series of rebounds, Swiss defender Reto Ziegler would open up the scoring for the Texans making it his first MLS goal this season, as he has already scored in a friendly game back in February.
Early in the second half FC Dallas would score a much needed second goal, this time through Roland Lamah after a nice play made by Ryan Hollingstead.
LAFC forward, Adama Diomande, subbed in for Lee Nguyen, who had made his first start for the club since signing with them a month ago. Diomande scored less than ten minutes off the bench from a great pass from Benny Feilhaber.
Dallas now has three wins in a row after beating LAFC 2-1. Dallas is now in second place of the Western conference, behind Sporting Kansas City who won against Minnesota United FC 4-1. Dallas with a 7-1-5 record this season, things are looking really good for Oscar Pareja’s side. They go on to play Montreal Impact next Saturday. As for LAFC they will face San Jose Earthquakes.
