May 12th, Frisco, Texas- In a hot sunny afternoon: FC Dallas with the return of Mauro Diaz in the starting lineup, saw himself providing the three assists to all of the FC Dallas goals in the victory of 3-2 over LA Galaxy.
Having limited chances at goal during the first half, Mauro Diaz, combining with Maxi Urruti, took his shot from a distance to open up the scoring. Minutes later setting up Roland Lamah who finished wonderfully to put the ball at the back of the net.
At the start of the second half, LA managed to cut the lead with a header from Ola Kamara. Minutes after, Dallas answered back through Mauro Diaz dribbling the ball around the LA box to cross it over for Roland Lamah to score his second goal of the day.
Dallas would find themselves in a little trouble after Reto Ziegler saw a red card in the 73rd minute, with a ten men team they managed to hold on as Emmanuel Boateng managed to pull one back in the dying moments of the game, making it 3-2.
Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic had his chance to level the game in the 89th minute. Standing just right outside the Dallas box, his shot would hit just outside the post to go out of bound.
At the end of the game, ten men Dallas would hold on Zlatan and company to earn the three points giving LA Galaxy their fourth straight loss.
